Project Management and Governance

Project Management enables organizations to accomplish and meet targets critical to business growth, success and sustainability.  The sequence associated with the methodology facilitates the creation of the roadmap that takes the projects through the phases of Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling till Closing in a consistent process with predefined and predictable results.

Governance compliments that methodology with the framework that guides “how” the project team and the interfacing organizations will address, navigate and resolve changes and challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

Project management is mostly aligned and standardized to industry verticals while the Governance Model/Framework is considered to be a performing organizational asset that is unique to each organization and is greatly influenced by the organizational culture, structure, style of execution and internal controls and policies.   Governance is key to organizational effectiveness and it enables organizations to manage projects in a consistent manner, across all projects and with different project managers, hence the importance of creating this model for the organization.

Simply put, the same project executed by two different entities will probably be executed in two completely different styles, even if they use the same analytical tools, planning and execution processes, performance measurement tools etc.

Hope is not a strategy; Project management skills provide the framework to accomplish and deliver on organizational goals.   While every project is different, they all start with a vision or the inception of an idea of what can be accomplished; a good project manager maintains that vision and scope and guides the entire team towards the outcome that makes it a reality.

PMP (Project Management Professional) certification along with extensive experience in this area is what makes Client Solutions an ideal partner in this space.
